You will find posters of films from the period, but also a play of colors, textures and prints telling the story of this charming hotel in Pyla-sur-Mer. But it's the "Lobster", the decoration star. The recipe of Mrs. Scappazzoni (former owner) has made La Guitoune an essential address in the region. The Guitoune regains its sparkling, authenticity and originality in a family home atmosphere.

His work & history
The illustrious interior design artist used his talent to revive the legendary establishment, from the 40s and 70s, of Pyla. The one who redecorated a famous London club and the Saint-James hotel in Paris, launched a new challenge in 2017 with La Guitoune. She knew how to combine her vintage and offbeat universe, while retaining the classic neo-Basque facade, in the saffron color, of the architects Ducos and Rougier, but also, the spirit of La Guitoune, drawing inspiration from the archives.
This former French-American fashion press officer began interior decoration when one of her friends asked her to redecorate her London restaurant. She thus becomes, the hype and kitsch icon of London, with a world of her own: bright colors, atypical patterns and choices assumed. The decoration allows him to tell a story. She creates spaces where she would like to come dance, sleep or eat. His work leaves no one indifferent!

While offbeat The huge bar & common areas
Bambi Sloan's talent has been fully exploited in the common areas and the bar, where his offbeat artistic sensibility surprises pleasantly. From the entrance, you will be immersed in an atypical universe, with the mosaic and formica bar, with mermaid and seahorse patterns. Lobster carpeting, goldfish on chandeliers and padded leather armchairs will take you back to the heyday of Guitoune, the boutique hotel at Pyla.
More sober and elegant High standing rooms
The rooms are more discreet. White predominates, but the Bambi Sloan paste is still present. The 24 rooms (including 5 cabins) of this unusual hotel, a stone's throw from the beach, invite you to rest. After a lively evening in the bar, a delicious meal in the restaurant, a day of expedition to the Dune du Pilat or an lazy afternoon on the beach, you will feel rested in your spacious room.
